These two talented sides year after year produce epic matches and this was no exception! The Hawks were in rabid mood after only one game so far this year, and, after a slightly sluggish start where the turf was more in danger than the ball, soon put the pedal to the metal with a blistering display of teamwork. Coaches Mooney and Camilleri, both in Indonesia scouting new talent, would have been very pleased. Joey Newman was worked hard in goals in the first half and made some good saves. Matthew Crowther looks to be a great new signing for the Hawks with a very mature display at the back, well assisted by Josh "the machine" Treasure who covered the whole pitch with ease. Brock Gutherson was a stand out with his skill and positional sense until a stomach complaint laid him low. Luke Neaves and James McBride worked very hard through the midfield and player of the match Jake Camilleri gave everything he had for his team. Great effort Hawks!
