U10 SHARKS The Sharks played away against the Hallidays Point Barramundis. We assisted the Barramundis by loaning them one of our players, Marcus DIPAOLO, who scored a great goal for them in the first half. The Sharks are now displaying some fantastic team work, considering there are four new players in the team. Maddison MEAD and Tailey BEAVER were kept busy in goal and pulled off some great saves. There were plenty of shots at goal with Bayley DIMARCO finding the net with a powerful kick using his left foot. As always, Jacob AGNEW and Chloe WARREN were strong in defence, and defused many attacks. David STRONG and Joshua BICANIC showed great ball skills moving the ball down the side lines. Annie played very well in both attack and defence, and is gaining skill and confidence each week. The team showed moments of brilliance with great passing from one end to the other. Player of the week: Marcus DIPAOLO for displaying great sportsmanship whilst playing with the Barramundis.

10 SHARKS -V-STINGRAYS. The Sharks displayed a big improvement in ball skills and confidence this week. They also discovered the advantage of teamwork, and having trust in their team mates abilities, and this was evident in a great display of exciting attack and strong defence. The first half saw Bayley Dimarco as goalie and Bayley pulled off some great saves, and had a fantastic kicking game. Jacob Agnew again played a strong defensive game , and his fancy footwork was a pleasure to watch. Chloe Warrens’ confidence and ability is continually increasing with every game, and now Chloe is becoming involved in play all over the field. Tailey Beaver won the ball on many challenges and after moving down the right wing would continually cross the ball to the goal mouth. On the other wing was Joshua Bicanic, giving 100% effort and showing great balls skills, and smart defence techniques. Numerous chances went unrewarded due to some great keeping by the Stingrays goalie. Marcus DiPaolo found himself in the thick of things up front and scored his second goal for the season. Marcus is now enjoying becoming more involved in both attack and defence. The second half saw Jacob Agnew in goals, who again showed safe hands. Annie Robinson, and Maddison Mead lifted their game to a new level today, and played superb in attack and defence. They both tackled well and moved the ball forward with great enthusiasm. This is their first season in club football, and they should be proud of themselves. Great goal kicks from Jacob Agnew delivered the ball in great position for our team to attack. They were able to move forward, passing the ball to each other, which allowed for great shots at goal. David Strong was absent today, but needed a special mention, as David is a important member of the team.
