Round 11 Bellevue Hotel  Hawks  Vs Taree Wildcats

The Tuncurry Forster Hawks travelled to Taree to play the Wildcats who were sitting one place above them on the table and returned home with a share of the points after 0-0 draw.

Omaru Park was in surprisingly good condition after a morning downpour, and despite the going being a little slippery it was a surface that allowed some good football to be played. Evan Barnes played well out wide in midfield and he worked some slick combinations with Scott Dornan. Big Kev Watt was outstanding at the back as he put up a wall for any attacks launched down his wing. Scott White showed great composure in goals and kept a clean sheet despite the best efforts of the Taree forwards. Kale McCarthy added zip when he was involved and Josh Bellamy’s contribution was invaluable as he filled a variety of positions. James Campbell was unlucky to be denied a goal after his perfectly timed run onto a free kick was called offside. The Hawks felt that this was a win they missed but in the end the point earned kept a growing unbeaten run intact.

The Bellevue Hotel players’ player vote went Kev Watt.
