Club Development Days

G'day all - it is our intention to run some development days for each age group starting the week after next. The purpose of these sessions will be to help you ensure your team gets the best coaching possible, to see some drills in action, and to ask any questions you might have about anything soccer related. We will start with the under 6's and 7's on Monday June 23. The session will be held at the fields in Tuncurry, and we will endeavour to start at 5.00 PM sharp - the session will take between 60 and 90 minutes under lights. Ideally we need to see all coaches in this age group, and if we can get some kids there that will make demonstration much easier (perhaps if each coach could bring his/her own child from that age group?). That will allow everyone to see the drills/games without having to control all your kids until your own training session. We will try to do 8's and 9's the week after that, and so on. Obviously if I get a lot of replies about the dates/times being unsuitable then we will have to review the situation! Please RSVP and let me know what you think.
Looking forward to seeing you there

Amenities Block extension

After several years in the planning we are pleased to announce that Council is finally considering our application to make extensions to the current building. The extensions will include enlarging the canteen to include extra storage area at the back, additional undercover area out to the side which will include a Bbq area, a meeting/ storage room where we can keep our gear safe. The area currently behind Field 1 will be filled in and will hope fully be mad into 2 additional mini fields to be used by Under 6’s. The area near the Cricket nets will be cleaned up and a goalpost will be installed to be used for practice kicks and corner kicks. We have many plans and with the help of many volunteers we hope top have these improvements completed by the start of next season. A 3-dimensional display of the extensions and plans will be on display soon – keep and eye out. We will be having a buy a brick where families players can purchase bricks at $20 per brick and have there names placed on an honour board depicting who was responsible for helping to get the building off the ground. We are also in the midst of applying for several grants and are hoping to get some Section 94 funding from Council to help with the buildings. All will help to make this great club even greater and we are all very excited.
