2010 Call To Arms

“Call to Arms” – for those of you who do not know what this is,  it is an event to raise awareness for Mens Cancer.

Players are asked to wear a yellow arm band and donate a gold coin to the cancer council.

Coaches will have the yellow tape on the day for your child to wear.

Our club will be holding an event at the South Street Fields with a BBQ, raffles and head shaves.

$1.00 from everything sold off the BBQ goes to the cause.

100% of money raised through the raffle goes to the cause.  Prizes include an esky, seafood tray, meat tray, wine and/or a dvd movie prize pack (dvd, chips and a large bottle of coke) – all generously donated. $1 per ticket.

Head Shaves – we have some ladies (Mandy Mooney and Michelle Blackhurst) who will shave heads for a donation (minimum $5) – if you want that much needed haircut now is the time to do it. This will be available between 11.30 am and 1.00pm.  ALL proceeds to the cause.

We will also have donation boxes at the fields with all welcome. Last year we raised nearly $1000 this year we hope to match it.

Even if you are playing away please try to come over to the fields to see our senior ladies and senior men’s teams in action from 1.15pm and buy something from the BBQ.
